After completing his master’s degree in biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain), he moved in 2015 to the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) where he obtained his PhD degree in the field of the identification of new susceptibility genes involved in the development of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. He joined the Molecular Oncology Group at The Institute of Cancer Research as Postdoctoral Training Fellow in 2015. Specialized in breast cancer, his major aim is to investigate the utilization of NGS techniques, using cfDNA, to diagnose, monitor disease burden and determine prognosis, detect recurrence before clinical relapse, evaluate therapy response, track clone evolution and prediction of relapse as well as to decipher tumor heterogeneity.
